Heather Jannsen has been singing all her life - from standing on the piano bench and singing Spice Girls for her family, to competing in competitions such as the Rising Talent Search at Toronto's CNE She wrote her first song at the age of 8, and continued writing ever since, falling in love with it more and more.

 

Sbe learned piano on and off all her life from her mother who is a piano teacher and picked up guitar on her own. Currently she is studying Interior Decorating at Algonquin while actively pursuing music at the same time.

 

Her major accomplishments include recording with and opening for Youtube sensation Tyler Ward, their cover of Good Life has reached over 3 million views. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77l6QvbNKIQ 

SQUARE DANCE CALLER

WENDY VANDERMEULEN

Wendy learned Modern Square Dancing over 30 years ago and has been teaching and calling for 15 years.  She's taught several hundred people to dance and has introduced many, many more to the activity that she calls The Best Activity Ever!  She brings with her some dancers from her current teaching session at the Meri Squares Dance Club. 

DELANEY GRANT

Delaney Grant is an 18 year old Canadian Singer/Songwriter born and raised in Pakenham, Ontario. Delaney began her musical journey at the early age of 2, when she started stepdancing with her mother.

 

At age 13 and having a love of country music, Delaney began to teach herself guitar. This became another tool for her to develop songwriting skills. This passionate young artist has been further developing her songwriting skills through writing and co-writing. 

 

As an accomplished musician and dancer, Delaney brings to the stage a fresh young face and beautiful country voice to match.

Dust off your cowboy boots and prepare to go back in time and experience a lifetime of country music. Bring the whole family for some boot stompin' fun at "Country Throughout Time," a fundraiser for the Children's Wish Foundation. Start in the 1950's with a square dancing lesson and finish the evening with a performance by singer Heather Janssen. Don’t forget to purchase your cowboy hat to get into the country spirit and enter the silent auction. We hope to see y’all there!

TRIPLE TROUBLE

They are the Mullan sisters: Michaela 17, Molly 15 and Marley 14 years of age. They are accomplished musicians featuring fiddle, piano, cello and step dancing in their shows. They perform at many community functions and use their talents to support children’s charities including the Children’s Wish Foundation and CHEO.
 

The girls play at festivals, fairs and community events including Almonte Celtfest, Ottawa Folk Festival and the House of Commons. You will often see them dancing in shows with Ottawa Valley favourite Gail Gavan.
